Hanging On or Holding On

Have you ever found yourself “hanging on” by that last thread? It seems as though all has come up against you and there is no way out. Sometimes we allow the pressure and “weight of the world” to rest on our shoulders. We allow worry, fear, anxiety, a distracted mind and stress to cause a lack of peace.

It weighs us down. It causes a lack of peace, lack of sleep, mental/physical fatigue – and a whole host of other issues.

Why not cast your cares on God? God is not stressed by your situation! He has you and me and the entire universe in His hands. He is your Prince of Peace! He won’t drop you. He won’t let you down. He won’t forget you. He cares about you. He loves you. He will look after you.

“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

You have hope. Your situation is not final. God has a word for you about the situation you’re facing. In His Word – there is hope and promises just for you.

“This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it–a hope].” Hebrews‬ ‭6:18-19‬

So be encouraged that this too shall pass. You are victorious. So don’t just hang on, instead hold on to the Word of God and His promises to you. His Word gives hope and it will anchor your soul during tough times.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

From my heart to yours

Love, Taryn
